In with a new LOGO...out with the old LOGO

September 4, 2012 lori

I kept putting off on getting a new logo because I seriously thought mine was perfect :), until I reunited with Jessica owner of Modern Moments Designs (Blog and Etsy) in March 2012. Back in 2010, Jessica designed Alessia's name art above her crib and did her birth announcements. I looked her shop up on etsy to see if she was still open and sent her a quick message to see if she would do my logo. Little did I know this was perfect timing because she was pregnant with her 4th child and they found out it's a girl! All I could think about was what kind of headbands can I make for Kennedy. I did end up making her a headband kit (click link to see kits) for her baby shower. So, the process started for picking a design I wanted for LB Boutique and LB Photography. In my first email to Jessica I sent my old logo and that I was looking for a shabby chic look, but not girly colors because I wanted to keep it gender neutral.  First email back from Jessica with some options I was blown away and so excited that I had made the decision to upgrade my logo look.  I first picked just the lettering in B&W(Jessica said, "the logo has to look good in Black & White before adding any color") . Then she would incorporate the design and colors around the logo. Let me tell you, I'm the worst person to make decisions for myself, I change my mind too many times. I was given different styles of a logo design and  Jessica made it hard because they were all great. However, I knew the minute I saw the LB Boutique No 12 in a classy vintage writing it was the one. Jessica also created a more simple logo to be used on pictures, in which I use also for my photography page. We decided my overall  logo/design would be classic neutral colors to make all of my items pop next to the gray, creme, and khaki.

I could not be more obsessed or in love with my logo and design for the boutique & photography, Jessica made my vision a reality! I think it is very important to me as a shop owner to have a unique look that stands out and now I feel like I have that.

After working with Jessica I have taken away a quote from her "spend more time on your business than trying to make business".

What do you think of the before and after?
