|Gender Reveal Party|, Milwaukee WI Photographer

I had always wanted to do a gender reveal party & now with being pregnant with the 2nd baby, I knew I wanted to make this one feel as special as Alessia with all of the showers we had for her. I had Jessica from Modern Moments design our amazing & simple invite. She also designed the Boy or Girl Sign behind the display table. Taylour from Swoon Soiree designed all of the perfect printable items.

I of course created a Pinterest Board, it's where I start with all of my ideas. One of my favorite finds was spray painting cans as decor & it by far was the easiest thing. Thank you to my husband who collected all of these cans from work & for my mom who spray painted them all. The DIY design came from here. I also came up with the idea to continue with our pregnancy reveal theme (click here to see) of scratch offs as thank you gifts for everyone coming.

I started planning the party around the food. The first thing that came to my mind was what have I been craving during this pregnancy (this pregnancy was a completely different experience than the 1st time). I came up with the SALTY & SWEET theme for food because I was all over the place with what I wanted to eat. The 2 biggest items that I wanted to make sure we had was the Snow Cone maker because in February I couldn't eat them fast enough & McDonalds french fries.

Swoon Soiree designed this amazing Gender Myths sign for us to remember all of the things that either were BOY or GIRL answers. We also had all the guest wear the color of what they thought the gender would be.

TIME FOR THE REVEAL......

I wanted to come up with a different idea to do the reveal than a cake filled with the color or balloons coming out of a box. I thought by putting glitter of the gender color in the balloon and popping it in front of everyone would be perfect. I would however suggest not adding so much glitter because our balloon did not float, but I was worried no one would be able to see the color if there wasn't enough. Alessia got a little upset that we popped the balloon and couldn't understand what we were doing.

Thank you again to everyone who helped setup for the party & that came it was so much fun!!!
